Brewery Gulch Inn has been voted the California Inn of the Year after 8.2 million households were invited to vote at ILoveInns for their favorite inn through a promotion sponsored by Ralph's Supermarkets, American Historic Inns, Inc., KFRG Radio, Minutemaid, Thomas English Muffins, and Perrier.

Adam Kamlet, inn frequenter and winner of the $500 promotion prize, chose the Brewery Gulch Inn of Mendocino as his all-time favorite. "It is the perfect antidote to treat the 'city buzz' of San Francisco. There are surprises at every turn: large fireplaces in each room; lovingly tended gardens; evening wine hour; fruit picked from their own trees; organic eggs from their own chickens; hearty, wholesome breakfasts...and warm hospitality," said Kamlet. He also revealed that he loves the inn for sentimental reasons, as he was married there years ago.

Brewery Gulch is a perfect example of an Inn that makes the B&B experience so very special that guests can't help but come back again and again. Samuel Johnson once said that "There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced as by a good tavern or inn." The timelessness and truth of this 18th century British writer's statement is still enjoyed by inn visitors around the world.
