Peaches In Wine

4 ripe peaches, peeled
1 bottle of sparkling white wine, chilled

Pierce each peach several times with a fork pushing prongs in deeply until they touch the pit. Place 1-peach in each of 4 deep-rounded glass goblets. Fill goblets with sparkling wine. After a few moments the peaches will begin to rotate. To accentuate this effect sprinkle a little sugar onto each peach if desired. Place small fruit plates with fruit knives and forks on the table so that after the liquid in the goblet has been consumed guests can easily transfer the peach to fruit plates. Recipe can be doubled. Enjoy!
