Spicy Shrimp In Turmeric-vodka Sauce (signature)

From Chef Erika G. Cenci's "A Touch of Europe Cookbook - Bringing Fresh to the Table Naturally"

8 tiger shrimp or prawns
2 teaspoons fine sea salt
1 tespoon of ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground chili powder
1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 ounce of vodka
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
Fine sea salt
Pepper, freshly ground

In a small bowl combine salt, turmeric, chili powder and paprika. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. When hot carefully add shrimp, sprinkle each shrimp with seasoning, Cook shrimp until pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer cooked shrimp to a warm plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Discard oil from skillet. Using the same skillet, add cream, vodka and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric. Turn heat to medium-high to bring to a full boil, turn heat to low - cook 1-minutes and turn off heat. Season with salt and pepper, divide sauce onto 2 warmed serving plates, arrange 4-shrimp on top of sauce and enjoy with crusty French bread slices and a crisp white wine of choice.
