Poached Pear

Poached pears with cinnamon and raisins

3 cinnamon sticks
8 cloves
Orange peel
Apple juice

Pears can be poached while making apple cider.
Put 3 cinnamon stick, 8 cloves and several slices of orange peel into a large saucepan 3/4 full with apple juice. Add as many raisins as desired.
Bring to a boil.
Add the peeled pears, keep their stalks on. Simmer for 15 minutes then cover with a lid and soak for a few hours.
