Rustic Raisin & Sunflower Seed Bread

Description:
As busy people who love fresh healthy bread, we've found it's worth it to learn how to use a bread machine. At first I found it intimidating, but after eating a few less-than-perfect (but tasty) experiments, we developed a recipe that works at our eleva

Ingredients:
Add to bread pan:
1 T. (organic) olive oil
1 T. Honey or agave
2 cups water

Add: 2 cups (organic) white flour
2 cups (organic) whole wheat flour
2 T. gluten
1 scant teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (organic) sunflower seeds
1/2 cup (organic) raisins
1/2 teaspoon yeast

Directions:
Set the bread machine to the "fruit and nut" setting. At a lower altitude, you will need to add more yeast. You will probably need to experiment until you find the right balance for your elevation. The fresher the flour, the more nutritious and tastier your bread will be. You can source these ingredients at your local health food coop. We buy ingredients in bulk, and find our cost per loaf is less than a dollar. (Thanks to our guest who requested this recipe.)
