Six Week Bran Muffins

The significance of this recipe is to have an emergency treat available for any meal or occasion. It stores up to 6 weeks, however I imagine you will find it long used up before then!

3 cups sugar
1 cup canola oil
1 qt. buttermilk
4 eggs
2 tsp. salt
5 tsp. baking soda
5 cups flour
7 1/2 cups raisin bran cereal

Mix sugar, oil, buttermilk, & eggs. Sift and add dry ingredients to first ingredients. Stir in cereal mixing well. Store in refrigerator with a tight-fitting lid. Take as needed. Pour into well-greased muffin pans, filling about 3/4 full. Bake at 375'.
