Circa 1897. A canopy of ancient oak trees line the streets leading to the Magnolia Springs bed & breakfast. Softly framed by more oaks, and in springtime, pink azaleas, the National Register inn with its dormers and spacious wraparound porch offers an inviting welcome. Warm hospitality enfolds guests in the Great Room with its pine walls and ceilings and heart pine floors, as well as the greeting from the innkeeper. Curly pine woodwork is found throughout the home, which was originally an area hotel. Guest rooms are appointed with a variety of carefully chosen antiques. Breakfast favorites often include pecan-topped French toast, bacon, grits, fresh fruit with cream dressing and blueberry muffins. Guests may also request a special breakfast to accommodate dietary needs. The innkeepers will recommend some memorable adventures, or simply stroll to Magnolia River and enjoy the area.

Romantic Interest

The historical laid back setting of a neighborhood nestled among canopy oak trees that line the streets in the last community that still receives it's mail year-round by boat. Both Winston Groom and Fannie Flagg have had inspiration from time spent in Magnolia Springs.

Historic Interest

all walls & ceilings are original beaded board, all floors are heart pine and the entire house is trimmed in a rare curly pine. Original wavy glass windows and hardware. And an original claw foot tub and elephant trunk toilet top the many features of the 1987 property originally built as the Sunnyside Hotel.

David\'s Eggs

Easy to make breakfast dish sure to please everyone

Baked French Toast

This French Toast has a light delicate sweetness to it and most people don\'t add suyrup to it because it dosen\'t need it!

Breakfast Casserole

Love this one for it\'s uniqueness. Very different ingedrients that make an excellent variation to most egg casseroles

Breakfast Pizza

A house favorite that pleases everyone!

Apple Dumplings

You can also use a pear, peach, blackberries or a ball of cranberries, anything that makes a good cobbler will make a good dumpling! And this can be for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Hash Brown Bake

People who love thier hashbrowns love this hearty and filling dish!

Crustless Spinach Pie

This recipe is very high in protein, iron, calcium, vitamin A and betacarotene. It is also relatively low in fat since there is no pie crust. If you donít like spinach, you can substitute broccoli (fresh or frozen).

Oak-Lined Street

Is it the canopy of Oaks which graciously greet you as you drive to the entrance? Or is it the homemade cookies in the foyer? The healthy 3 course breakfast? No, it's the passion that David and Eric have for their historic inn, serving their guests and supporting their community that makes Magnolia Springs B&B so special. They guided us and supplied us with what we needed to go visit the undisturbed beaches of Bon Secour, local restaurant choices and best of all, reservations for flight on a 1928 biplane-Bird of Paradise. We will be back and all of our friends will know how magical Magnolia Springs B&B is.

Gentile Time

My husband and myself visited Magnolia Springs, where my husband's grandfather had built a home along the springs in the early 1900's. Visiting a piece of his own past, Magnolia Springs did not disappoint. A throwback to a much more gentile time, the Magnolia Springs B & B fit the bill. If you want a place to just get away from it all, this is the place. The owners couldn't be more helpful. The three course breakfast they serve every morning is to die for. You won't need to eat until dinner, but if you do Jesse's, down the road is an excellent restaurant.
