Baked Peaches
Description:
A wonderful choice for an easy yet tummy warming fruit to begin the day. Always a house favorite! Ingredients: 1 fresh, ripe peach for every two servings (You can use canned peaches but truly the fresh ones are so very much better) White Zinfandel (small amounts for sprinkling (1/2 cup) Butter Brown sugar for sprinkling over peaches Cinnamon for dusting Directions: Wash the fresh peaches and cut in half. Remove the seed. Butter an 8"X8" pan and arrange the peaches in the bottom. Place about 1/2 tsp. of fresh cream butter in the hollow of each peach. (I use lightly salted to provide the sugar/salt savory effect) Pour the White zinfandel around the peaches Sprinkle a moderate amount of brown sugar on the fresh peaches (You will want to use less if you opt for the canned version) Top with a dusing of cinnamon Recipe Summary: Yield: 1 peach = 2 servings Prep Time: About 20 mins if you use fresh/10 mins for canned Cook Time: Bake 350 until brown sugar carmelizes.
