Doughnut Muffins

Description: These are one of most popular muffins! They taste like old-fashioned cake doughnuts. Ingredients: 1 3/4 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 egg 3/4 c. milk 1/3 c. vegetable oil Coating: Melted butter Cinnamon sugar Directions: Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the dry ingredients. Mix the milk, oil and egg and add to the flour mixture. Stir just until combined. Place in greased muffin cups and bake 20 minutes (maybe a bit more depending on your oven.) Cool for a couple of minutes before removing from pan. Dip top in butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
