Maple Toast Eggs

A very simple dish that's equally successful for a few people or a large crowd. Real maple syrup dresses these eggs with a little sweetness.

maple syrup
sandwich bread
Salt and Pepper

Preheat oven to 400.

Melt syrup with butter (about 1 stick and 1/4 cup syrup/8 eggs)

Spray non-stick cooking spray inside individual baking cups or ramekins.

Cut bread to fit the ramekins. Dredge bread in butter/syrup mixture and place in bottom of the ramekins.

Break 1 egg into each cup and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Bake 15-20 minutes.
