ROOM: (SECOND PHOTO) KATHERINE'S ATTIC is a wonderful room in the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building, and it is the original attic of the original 1847 homestead. The walls from the original homestead range from 14-17 inches thick, and we as a family had to remove 4 layers (sheetrock, wall paper, on horizontal boards and then 3" of the original adobe plaster). We removed these layers and 3 inches of the plaster in the mortar joints of all of the rocks. Once this was cleaned, we replaced the plaster with new cement and this is what is viewable in the attic room and the main dining room. Call us today to book this room or another room - 830-625-8300.
