Secluded in a wooded area of pine and birch trees, Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B is open year-round in the Northwoods of Grand Marais, Minnesota along the Gunflint Trail and Boundary Waters. The deck overlooks Little Ollie Lake and Poplar Creek. Bikes, canoes, a picnic area with a grill and creekside walking trails with bridges are among the thoughtful amenities to enjoy. Accommodations are available in the B&B that boasts Mission-style décor and rooms with a fireplace and whirlpool; or stay in the two-bedroom cabin or the Tall Pines Yurt. Breakfast starts each glorious day. Ask about package getaways, day trips and specials.

	Maple Baked Stuffed Pear The presentation always elicits Ah's and Oh's.
	Stuffed French Toast Serve with real maple syrup. Very filling. Depending on dietary restrictions of guests, low fat cream cheese and low fat ricotta cheese can be substituted.
	Baked Finnish Pancake Adapted for individual servings. Fills a plate. Traditional method uses a pie pan that is sliced in wedges at the table.
	Cranberry Muffins These were first served at our first B&B on Young's Island in northern Mn. One of the first historic Minnesota B&B's opened in the early 1980's. Substitute orange juice for the milk or applesauce for the oil.
