Baked Oatmeal Custard
Ingredients:
1 cup 1/2 & 1/2 4 eggs 1/2 cup maple syrup a dash of salt 1/2 cup quick oats 1/4 cup chopped dried cranberries 1/2 tsp orange oil 1/2 tsp nutmeg Directions: Preheat oven to 375' Butter 4 custard cups Put a shallow baking dish, large enough to hold the cups, in the oven. Fill it halfway with hot water. Beat the half & half, eggs, salt, numbeg and orange oil together in a bowl. Stir in the oats and cranberries. Place the filled cups in the water in the oven. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the custard is barely set. Run a knife around the edges and turn onto a plate or serve in the cup.
