Fresh Crab Quiche

Description: Whether making this quiche for breakfast or brunch with fresh fruit or for lunch or dinner with a fresh green salad,your family and friends with think you spent hours creating this special occasion quiche. Ingredients: 1 9 inch pastry crust 1/2 lb shaken crab 4 eggs 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled 1/4 cup bisquick or sifted flour 4 oz shredded white cheddar 4 oz shredded swiss 1 1/2 cups of 1/2 & 1/2 Fresh rosemary or fresh basil leaves and kale leaves Directions: Preheat oven to 350'. Prepare pastry crust (you may choose to buy a refrigerated pastry crust from the supermarket). In the oven place a pan, large enough to hold the pie plate, fill the pan half full with hot water. In a bowl combine the cheeses and crab, set aside. In a blender combine the 1/2 & 1/2, eggs, salt, numtmeg, flour and cooled butter, process on blend for 30 seconds. Place the cheese and crab mixture in the unbaked pie crust. Pour egg mixture over the crab and cheese. Place the quiche dish in the pan with the hot water and bake. After 20 minutes cover the quiche with foil for the remainder of the bake time. A knife inserted in the center will come out clean. Remove from oven and allow to set for 20 to 30 minutes. Slice quiche, place on a fresh leaf of kale and place a fresh sprig of rosemary or fresh basil (pictured) on top. You may choose to make this quiche in individual serving dishes or as pictured in a divided dish for two. If making for two, divide ingredients in half.
