Cocoa Banana Bread

1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temp.
1 cup sugar
1 cup ripe mashed bananas
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 350'. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Combine butter/margarine, sugar, bananas, milk, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat for 1 minute at medium speed. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl, stir into the banana mixture just until dry ingredients are moistened, do not overmix. If desired, stir in nuts and/or chocolate chips. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes, remove from the pan and cool completely.
