Cherry Pecan Bread

A bread in which the flavors blend beautifully with a sweet taste to begin your day

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter( softened)
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermil
1 cup chopped pecans
1 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries drained

Cream butter, sugar and eggs together. In a separate bowl sift the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir the flour mixture into the creamed mixture, Add the butttermilk and stir well. Then add the pecans, cherries, and vanilla. Place in a well-greased 9X13 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
