Gingered Pears

Description:
As a side fruit dish for breakfast or any meal

Ingredients:
6 fresh pears cored and peeled and halved
2 cups water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ground ginger
1-2 tbsps. red hot cinnamon candies
dash salt

Directions:
Bring water, sugar, spices, lemon juice, salt and candies to a boil. Simmer 10 mins. Pour hot liquid over pears in a baking dish. Bake until pears are tender at 350 degrees.
