Pork Pie

This was given to us by some dear, dear, dear guests and our family just loves it!

2 lbs lean ground pork
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups finely chopped onions
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbls poultry seasoning
2 tsp salt
1 tsp celery powder/salt
2 med. potatoes cooked, mashed
1 cup potato water (drain pots saving water)

Cook onions and meat till done in a large skillet. Add all the above ingredients except the potatoes. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Uncover and simmer 10 more minutes. You want the liquid to reduce but don't let it get dry nice and loose. Add the mashed potatoes folding in well with a fork. Fill pie shells, cover and seal the crust with milk, brush with egg and at this point you can freeze or bake at 350 for about 1 hour.
Makes 2-9" pies
