Description

Circa 1915. Large oaks and ivy surround the wide front porch of this three-story farmhouse situated on 13 green acres. It is located on the former Indian trail and pioneer road that runs along the Kokosing River, and an Indian mound has been discovered on the property. The inn's woodwork is all original white oak, and guest rooms are furnished in antiques. Visitors often shop for maple syrup, cheese and handicrafts at nearby Amish farms. Three cozy fireplace rooms and two cottages provide the perfect setting for romantic evenings.

Ahhhhh!

When we stay at the White Oak Inn, we're staying with friends. Ian & Yvonne make it easy to just hang around the inn and chat, or read a book or sit on a porch swing while we watch the hummingbirds. Sometimes we forget that there are so many wonderful places to see nearby! Dinner at the Inn is always a gourmet delight that, by itself, would be worth the drive! We always choose the White Oak Inn when we have a couple of days to get away and relax. Over the years, it has become our favorite retreat! Ahhhhh!

35th Anniversary

We decided at the last minute to go to a romantic place for our 35th anniversary. We called Yvonne and Ian and were thrilled to find out that they had an opening. We were greeted with "Happy Anniversary!" It was a wonderful, relaxing evening and we woke up to delicious breakfast!

Memorable stay

This inn was adorable, the food was great, and we had an opportunity to dine with other guests who were really interesting to talk to. Also, the inn is close to a great bike path, so we got some exercise during the day to burn off all the awesome food!

The trip there was awesome

When we visited the White Oak Inn, we had our convertible and just driving in the country along the river to the inn was so beautiful. We found the inn to be very nice with a quiet atmosphere. The food was wonderful. We have thought about going back sometime for one of their events. The room was very nice.
