New York Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast Inns

The Finger Lakes region is a water lovers dream with 11 parallel lakes, the historic Erie Canal, Lake Ontario, and more than 1,000 waterfalls. Visitors can swim, water ski, kayak, snorkel, or go white water rafting. Not just a summer paradise, winter vacationers will find multiple ski resorts including Greek Peak Mountain Resort (greekpeak.net), Labrador Mountain (labradormtn.com), and Bristol Mountain Winter Resort (bristolmountain.com). The region is famous for its ballooning and gliding; the less daring can always visit the National Soaring Museum (soaringmuseum.org) or the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center (wingsofeagles.com). The Finger Lakes are full of history related to civil rights; learn more at the National Woman's Hall of Fame (greatwomen.org) or The Harriet Tubman House (nyhistory.com/…). With more than 135 museums and 80 art galleries everyone is certain to find a topic that interests them. Prefer to spend vacation with a wine glass in hand? This region is home to more than 100 wineries. Anyone who likes shopping must visit The Windmill Farm and Craft Market (thewindmill.com). Open on Saturdays, April-December, shoppers will find nearly 200 shops featuring local produce and crafts. Visitors will find plenty of places to stay and dine because the region has 300 plus bed and breakfasts and a bounty of appetizing restaurants, at least 100 of which have water views.
