Apple Bread

Our guests enjoy this tasty fall treat with apples from our own tree.

3 cups unpeeled Granny Smith apples, chopped
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened
4 eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, toasted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray two loaf pans with nonstick cooking spray.
Combine: flour, spices, baking soda, baking powder in a small bowl. Then mix sugar, eggs and oil in a large bowl until well combined. Add vanilla and dry ingredients to egg mixture and still until moist. Mix in apples, nuts and raisins. Divide into two prepared 9x5 inch loaf pans. Bake at least 45 - 55 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
