Sour Cream Banana Bread
Description:
Very moist, best I have ever had. One guest wanted to buy an oven like ours so her bread would turn out this good. Bakes with a thin crust on top. May spread with a cream cheese frosting for a little extra sweetness or butter. Most guests like it plain. Ingredients: 6 ripe bananas, 4 eggs, 4 cups granulated sugar, 1 1/3 cup oil, 1 cup sour cream, 4 cups flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons, salt, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda, 2 cups chopped walnuts, 2 teaspoons vanilla Directions: Mix bananas, eggs, sugar, oil, and sour cream together. Add flour, salt, and baking soda,(that has been mixed in a bowl separately) slowly add to the wet mixture. Add vanilla and chopped walnuts. Mix well. Pour into two well greased and floured bread loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees Recipe Summary: Yield: 2 loaves Prep Time: 1/2 hour Cook Time: 1-1 1/2 hours Comments: Other recipes by Amid Summer's Inn Bed and Breakfast: Three Cheese Crustless Quiche Pumpkin Walnut Roll Fruit Smoothies Decadent Apple Breakfast Bake Brian's Breakfast Casserole Orange Smoothie Sour Dough Breakfast Bake Charlene's Quick Breakfast Taters |
