Sour Cream Cinnamon Apple Bars

Description: A delicious layered apple bar that melts in your mouth! Ingredients: 2 cups flour 2 cups packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup softened butter 1 cup lightly toasted pecans, chopped 1 teas baking soda 1 1/2 teas cinnamon 1/2 cup cinnamon chips 1/2 teas salt 1 cup sour cream 1 teas vanilla 1 egg 2 cups peeled, chopped apples Cream Cheese Frosting 8 oz. softened cream cheese 1 box confectioners sugar 1/2 stick softened butter 2 teas vanilla Directions: In a large bowl combine the first 3 ingredients. Mix on low speed till crumbly. Add chopped pecans. Press 2 3/4 cups of mixture into 13x9 ungreased pan. To the remaining mixture add the rest of the ingredients up to the apples. Mix well and then stir in apples. Pour apple mixture over crumb mixture in pan. Bake at 350 F. for 30 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on rack and then spread with cream cheese frosting. Cut into squares. Cream Cheese Frosting - Mix all ingredients together till smooth and then spread over cake.
