Apple Cake From Dinie's Grandmother

This delectable cake is a tradition. It's one of those cakes that you can't stop eating as it's perfectly moist and spiced just so. Thank you Grandmom for sharing; we wouldn't change a thing!

5-6 apples, pared, cored and sliced
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup orange juice
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chapped walnuts
3 Tbsp honey

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add oil, egg, orange juice and vanilla. Combine until smooth.

Spoon half the batter into the prepared pan. Arrange half the sliced apples on top. Sprinkle with half-cup walnuts and 2 Tbsp honey. Cover with the remaining batter. Top with the remaining apples and walnuts. Drizzle the rest of the honey on top.
