Best Pear Spice Muffins

These muffins are so addicting. Moist, and deliciously spiced. Perfect accompaniment to a warm mug of mulled cider.

3 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 TBSP baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp each: cloves, nutmeg
1 stick butter (softened)
1 1/4 c sugar
2 eggs
3 c chopped ripe pears
1 c sour cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c raisins

Preheat oven to 375 F. Prepare 2 muffin tins with liners or grease and flour; set aside. Sift together dry ingredients in large bowl; set aside.

In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sour cream to combine. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet to dry. Stir until just combined. Add pears and raisins and gently mix until just combined. Spoon into muffin tins (ice-cream scoop works nicely) and bake 15-20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire racks.
