Apple Dumplings

6-12 Apples (depending on size)
Peel and grate apples. Set aside

2 C. Flour
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
3/4 C. shortening
1/2 C. milk

Mix flour, salt & baking powder together
Then mix with shortening as for pie dough.
Add milk then stir until dough holds a ball.
Roll dough into a rectangle (about 6" X 12").
Cover with apples. Sprinkle with sugar and
Cinnamon. Roll up like a cinnamon roll.
Cut into 12 and place in 9X13 baking dish.

Bring to a boil:
2 C water, 2 C sugar, 1/4 C. margarine
After it is boiling, add 1 t. cinnamon
Gently pour the syrup over the Dough/apple mixture
Bake 375 for 35 minutes. Serve with ice cream or
cool whip.
