Nut Ball Coffee Cake
Description:
I inherited this coffee cake recipe from my dear feind Karlene Paxman, who opened the first bed and breafast in Cedar City. The balls of dough rise together but pull apart easily for serving. I drizzle cream cheese icing over the cake. Ingredients: 2 cups Biscuit mix 1/2 cup butter 5 TBS sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 2 Tbs cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 egg, beaten 1/3 cup milk Directions: Blend mix, granulated sugar, 1 tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg. Add milk combined with egg. Beat to combine thoroughly. Dip a spoonful of the dough first in melted butter, then in brown sugar and 2 Tbs cinnamon mixed together, then in nuts. Place balls closely together in deep 8 inch greased pie pan. Bake in moderate oven (375 )about 30-40 min.
