Christmas Morning Coffeecake

Description:
Hot from the oven, our family always has this coffeecake with coffee or hot chocolate to accompany the opening of Christmas presents.

Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter
1 cup suger
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Beat together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time and stir in the sour cream and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until smooth.
Spoon 1/2 the batter into a greased 9" square pan.
Combine 1/2 C sugar, pecans and cinnamon. Sprinkle 2/3 of this mixture over the batter
Spoon the remainder of the batter into the pan and top with the remaining nut mixture.
Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for ~50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
