Roadtrip

One study of U.S. travelers shows that 72% still plan to travel in 2020!!!

Travel is a core part of many people’s identity, especially Americans and Europeans. So much so that “travel is the number one discretionary spend item for Europeans” according to Phocuswright research. But what does that mean during a pandemic?

It appears that travel is picking back up. 862,949 people passed through TSA checkpoints on August 17. While that is lower than the same date the year before, it is leaps and bounds above April 2020 numbers of 100,000 or less.

72% still plan to travel in 2020. One study of U.S. travelers shows that 72% still plan to travel in 2020. Those travelers are also opting for domestic travel with many planning road trips.

All the travel plans seem to be socially distant minded. Beach travel, skiing and golfing getaways, and breaks from city life are among the top 10 plans. .

Helping to Save “The Inn Where We Got Engaged” – Those that are traveling are citing that it all feels cleaner than ever before… Hotels, inns, and bed and breakfasts are offering contactless check ins and creative amenities. Some travelers are booking trips in order to help save their favorite places: that inn where they got engaged.

Travel Shaming – Social media isn’t blowing up with vacation photos however as people fear travel shaming from friends and family. Instead they are quietly getting away for much needed downtime.

Get a tune up so you can be seen in October, November, December

We continue to be shocked at how easy and fast it can be to correct websites that are being buried on Google.

So many innkeepers have been suffering not being seen online for something simple that only takes a developer 1-4 hours to fix.

it’s one of the most exciting parts of our job, because it makes such a difference.
